Hazmat Placards:
Are diamond-shaped point-on-point fixtures, comprised of various colors, which should be located on all four sides of a vehicle carring hazardous materials in a quantity that requires placarding. Hazardous materials may be present even though no placard is displayed on the vehicle. The placards display information that identifies the hazmat being transported either by a four-digit identification number or the name of the material. Placards also display a single digit or single digit with decimal number to identify the hazmat class of the material being transported.
