Flatbed:
Is a cargo body type without sides or a roof, with or without readily removable stakes which may be tied together with chains, slats or panels. This would include "stake body" trucks.
Dump:
Is a cargo body type that tilts to discharge its load by gravity. "Belly dump" trailers that discharge the load through a gate in the bottom without tilting are given the body type "grain, chips or gravel".
