Help for Crash Statistics Mapping Tool
The Crash Statistics Mapping Tool web page allows users to query, display, print and download maps and tables with geographic data related to large truck and bus crashes and inspections. Location Maps produce colorful map images of state and county data with the user-selected input. For every query, results are provided in both map and table format. The geographic data are merged with crash and inspection data retrieved from FARS and MCMIS to generate the maps.

How to Generate a Map:

  1. Select a Map from the Map pull-down menu.
  2. Select a State, Year Type (CY or FY) and Year from the pull-down menus.
  3. Select Vehicle Type from the pull-down menu.
  4. Select Map Layers by clicking in one or more check boxes.
  5. Click the button “Generate Map” to display your selected map.
