A&I (Analysis and Information) Online is a web-based tool designed to provide quick and efficient access to
descriptive statistics and analyses on commercial vehicle operator safety information. The
web site provides safety information on:
SafeStat
Online
The Safety Status of motor
carriers. SafeStat is a data-driven analysis system that provides a means for
determining the relative safety status of individual motor carriers. The system is
currently used by FMCSA to prioritize carriers for an on-site compliance review.
Crash Profiles
Online
The Nation's or a specific
state's crash profile. The profiles on the national level and the state specific level
provide summarized tables and graphs to support the analysis of who, when, where and what
types of crashes intrastate and interstate commercial vehicles are involved in. The
profiles are based on state reported crashes uploaded to the Motor Carrier Management
Information System (MCMIS) and fatal crashes uploaded to the Fatality Analysis Reporting
System (FARS).
Program Measures
The
effectiveness (in terms of crash prevention) and the associated cost
savings of three FMCSA programs:
compliance reviews (on-site audits) on commercial motor carriers,
inspections of commercial interstate motor vehicles, and traffic enforcement
stops funded by the FMCSA - as part of the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance
Program (MCSAP).
Analysis Results & Reports
Access to the periodical
Motor Carrier Safety Analysis, Facts, and Evaluation (MCSAFE) and other recently published FMCSA
sponsored research results on motor carrier safety.
Presentations and Outreach Materials has newly been added. This area
